Celebrated Ugandan actress Princess Faridah Ndausi has fondly remembered the late Mr. Ibu as “a kind-hearted individual whose legacy will forever endure” in her heartfelt tribute to the revered Nollywood star.
Mr. Ibu, born John Okafor, a renowned Nigerian actor, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, following a prolonged illness that necessitated the amputation of one of his legs.
The 63-year-old Nollywood stalwart’s departure has sent shockwaves across the industry, with friends, colleagues, and fans mourning his loss and paying homage to his illustrious career.
Princess Faridah Ndausi, who had the privilege of collaborating with Mr. Ibu on the film “Mr. Ibu In South Africa,” alongside other Nigerian and South African actors, also had the chance to interact with him during an awards ceremony in 2017. She fondly recalls their light-hearted conversation following her presentation.
