Eddy Kenzo Urges Artists to Repay UNMF Loans Promptly
Eddy Kenzo, the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), has expressed his frustration with certain artists who have failed to repay loans obtained through the federation.
These loans, funded by government money, are intended to support the growth and development of the music industry in Uganda. However, the delays and defaults in repayment by some artists are hindering the federation’s ability to provide continued support and assistance to others in need.
Kenzo emphasized the importance of responsibility and accountability within the music industry. He noted that timely repayment of loans is crucial for maintaining the federation’s financial health and ensuring that funds are available for future applicants. The failure of some artists to honor their repayment obligations not only affects the federation’s operations but also undermines the collective effort to uplift and sustain the music industry in Uganda.
This call to action by Kenzo highlights the broader issue of financial responsibility among artists and the need for stricter adherence to repayment schedules to preserve the integrity and effectiveness of the UNMF’s loan program .
